Your data is yours. We collect only what we need to make and ship your order, and we never sell or rent it. This policy explains exactly what we hold and what your rights are.

1. Who we are

SWAD (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a custom apparel and ready-made clothing brand operated from Amman, Jordan, shipping worldwide. The data controller for this site is SWAD, contactable at support@s-w-a-d.net.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Name, email, phone, shipping & billing address (to make and deliver your order).
• Custom-print files you upload (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF) — used solely to print your order.
• Account credentials if you create a SWAD account.
• Messages you send us via the contact form, email, or chat.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
• Order and browsing history while signed in.

Information from payment processors

We never see or store your card number. Stripe processes your payment and returns to us only a transaction reference, the last 4 digits, and the card brand. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

3. How we use it

• To process and ship your order, including print production.
• To provide customer support and respond to your questions.
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and (with your consent) marketing email.
• To detect fraud and protect both you and us.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax, regulatory).

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers necessary to fulfill your order:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Shipping carriers (DHL, Aramex, FedEx, USPS depending on destination) — for delivery.
• Email service providers — to send transactional and marketing email.
• Cloud hosting — to store this website and your account data securely.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

5. How long we keep it

Order data is retained for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure. Marketing email lists are kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies (login, cart, checkout) and analytics cookies (to understand which pages people use). You can disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings — the site will still work normally.

7. Your rights

You can request:

• Access — a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction — fix anything inaccurate.
• Deletion — erase your data (subject to legal retention).
• Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — stop certain uses (e.g. marketing email).

8. Security

The site uses 256-bit SSL across every page. Your account password is hashed (we cannot read it). Stripe handles all card processing on PCI-compliant infrastructure. We use access controls and encrypted backups internally.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (Stripe, email, cloud) operate outside Jordan. We use providers that offer GDPR-equivalent safeguards. By using the site you consent to these transfers.

10. Children

The site is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will also be communicated by email if you have an account.
